Plomosa-7

Plomosa-7

The Plomosa 7 Mine ("Mine") is composed of 32 20-acre parcels. These claims are arranged naturally into 4 Quadrants, NW, NE, SW, and SE, with 8 claims in each. The life of the mine (LoM) is 16 years. The Mine will use standard surface mining techniques with a shaker plant/gravity concentration operation with a flotation circuit added after year 1 of operation.

There is a long history of mining in the area of the Plomosa 7 Mine. The Mine lies within the Plomosa Mining District, near the town of Quartzite on La Posa Plain, between the Plomosa Mountains on the east and the Dome Rock Mountains on the west. This is mainly a placer district; however, gold, copper, and lead have been produced from lode mines. These were worked intermittently until the l 950's, and several unsuccessful attempts were made to mine the gravels on a large scale. Total gold production of the district through 1959 was about 24,570 ounces: about 19,400 from placers and 5,000 from lodes.

There has been one recent round of sampling and assaying at the Mine (PGS, 2006), however placer gold gravels have been mined and processed from the Mine for decades. Samples were collected from head-ore material stockpiled on site. The results show the sampled material contains almost a half-ounce of gold per ton, an ounce of silver per ton, and about .09 ounces of platinum per ton of placer material. Similar results can be expected from mining the Mine. To be conservative, MEMLLC presumes gold grades will average about 0.1 ounces per ton, silver will average 0.5, and platinum will average 0.05 ounces per ton for all four parcels of the Mine.
